Concept Color Picking Pen by Jinsun Park

Artists would love this new concept device i.e. the color-picking pen designed by Jinsun Park. It is just like the color-picker available in the Adobe Photoshop. This is a really nice concept, as its very out of the box idea and also a very useful one if it comes into manufacturing phase. It can take out colors from any item which you put it against and then the pen uses the same color.

The color you want to use is detected by the color sensor and the RGB cartridge of the pen mixes the required inks to create the required color. Below you can see the pic showing the various part of this concept pen.

Just imagine how this concept pen can change the art of drawing and all other stuff related to it. Below you can see a descriptive image of getting the color from a leave and then drawing with it.

This is great concept and I wish that it comes into a reality, because it would be a handy tool to use.

Impressive Anti-Domestic Abuse Ad in Germany

This is technology at its very best, and its totally awesome. A bus-stop in Germany has a anti-domestic abuse message ad which changes when you see at it. If you are not watching the ad it would be displaying a man abusing his wife and as you see it the picture would be changed.

It is created using a built-in camera with eye-tracking technology, so to respond to the viewer. This is great idea, that would surely get some attention. This ad is a thumbs-up all the way.

Max Payne-3 Announed by Rockstar

Max Payene fans have a reason to smile now, as the latest installment of the series is coming to them. Rockstar Vancouver’s latest Max Payne-3 was highlighted in the latest issue of Gameinformer. Below you can also see some of the screenshots of the game.

Here's a brief discription of the game from the press release:

Since leaving the NYPD and New York itself behind, Max has drifted from bad to worse. Double-crossed and a long way from home, Max is now trapped in a city full of violence and bloodshed, using his weapons and instincts in a desperate search for the truth and a way out.

Max Payne has been given a beard, to put up a real die hard image. Great expectations are from Rockstar, that the game would be excellent in all aspects.

Transparent Eco-Friendly Horn Speakers with Spherical Woofer

Loved this design from Ferguson Hill, of the transparent speakers. The FH001 speakers are made to boost the green culture technology, as they are made from clear acrylic. They are designed in the form of the old horn speakers giving an artistic touch to them.

The speakers pump out 3-50 watt, so it can play low as well as high sounds. With 150 Hertz-20 kHz the FH001 doesn't need separate tweeter and mid-range drivers, most of the sound comes from one driver in the apex of the horn. For Bass there is FH002, a 24 inch acrylic sphere fitted with a 12-inch woofer.

Anyhow the speakers cost $26,000, which buy the way is way more to ask when the cause is an eco-friendly environment. In my honest opinion, the speakers do look real nice and posses an attraction, but the cost is a bit problem.

Rocky Movie Themed Flash Drives

I am a total fan of themed flash drives, as they somehow bring out our inner fantasies. Now, Rocky fans have a chance to bring the characters down to their home. Three characters have been taken out from the movie that are Apollo Creed, Rocky Balboa, and Clubber Lang.

The most interesting feature of these flash drive is that they do sit-ups when plugged into the computer. But, the flash drive has a really annoying design as far as the flash drive USB connector is concerned (you can see in the above picture what I mean to say here).

Anyhow, the price is $29.64 from here.

iPhone & iPod Dock Keyboards

Apple users have now the iConnect by iHome. Its actually a keyboard with a built-in dock for iPhone & iPod. The keyboard seems to look nice, as it gives out the traditional unconventional Apple looks. It can be connected via USB and has shortcut keys to launch iTunes etc. There are two version of this keyboard, the other one is for the Window's user which you can see below.

The only difference between the two versions is that in the later there are no shortcut keys to iTunes etc. Moreover, this keyboard can come in handy if someone wants to save some space on their computer table.

The price is $150, and it would be launched in early September 2009.

Wolfram Vs Google - Review on the Google Killer

For years Google has been there for us, serving to there level best. From a simple search engine brought up in a room, Google has established it self into a well renowned company. Now Google is not a name of a search engine, as it gives us more than that.

Google gives its users a lot of services like Gmail, Picasa and many others which we use daily. Moreover, there is a great affiliation that Google has made with its users by which its hard to just stop using it.

Google hasn't faced such big competitions ever since it has evolved, other than that of Yahoo. Recently, a website Wolfram was said to be the Google Killer and it made be think what special is that website offering. So let us know check whether it is the Google Killer or Not.

Wolfram is a computation search engine which gives you a precise information on a certain query. It gathers its information from different websites, and then presents the information in a very nice manner. For example if you search 'Mount Everest', this is what you would see.

To be very honest, being a Google fan I certainly am impressed by the result which it showed. So, when thing comes right away in your mind that, Wolfram is best if you want to get the precise info about a certain query. But what if something else is searched like for example 'Latest Technology'.

The above image, would have given you the exact idea of what I am trying to say here. It was very obvious, that Wolfram would give such a result. Now check out the results Google gave when 'Mount Everest' and 'Latest Technology' were searched.

Now this is what I call a 'search engine. The point which needs to be emphasized here is that Google is a complete search engine as it gives us all what we need to know, from images to text. Where else Wolfram is only a 'computational search engine' which wont give you a complete information but only the facts about a certain query. Moreover, Google can tell you the recipe of 'scrambled eggs' but Wolfram wont.

The Conclusion:

Wolfram is not a Google killer, not even close to it. However, it can only be used if one needs to find out some computational results.
