I used to teach high school students, which I did find challenging for a number of reasons. I had to follow a more rigid curriculum schedule then. Sometimes this is good, especially if the students are having a hard time learning. Structure does aid with kids like that. However, I felt that it hampered me more than anything. I wanted to be able to really stretch the students’ minds, which is why I am now a university professor. I teach English, and one of the first things I tell my students about is the plagiumkereso that I sometimes use.

I want them to know right up front that I value them, which is why I want work that is only done by them. I do have them write a lot of essays, because it teaches them so much more than just English or grammar. I find that they really discover a lot more about themselves this way too. With my high school students, I had to basically accept most of what was turned in, even if it was likely copied from another source. This does nothing to help a kid at all! It teaches them that plagiarizing is okay as long as you change a few words to make it your own.

I am being hard on them, but that is just because I want my students to think for themselves. I am pretty happy even though there is not so much to do. My friends and I had big plans for the summer vacation. One of them was related to the manager of a golf resort in Florida and she was going to let us have summer jobs. Right now I am at an anti plagio website checking my term paper for problems of that sort. Obviously you have to do that, it does no good at all to turn the paper in and then got caught for accidentally plagiarizing some other person. I suppose it would not be so hard to do that, you might do it entirely by accident in fact. You might simply choose the same way of saying something that some other person did. Of course I am saying stuff that has been said before and I am using sources who said it before I did, so I especially have to look to be sure that I am not too similar to their works.

I am almost done with school for now, and I am not really sure what shall happen next year. I was looking forward to getting out of the dorms. I will be a sophomore next year and while it is not so terrible, I really just do not care about having a roommate in general or the roommate that I have in particular. He is not some sort of monster, but he is very annoying and could not really care much less what I think about it. In particular he is very noisy when I am trying to get to sleep. My professor asked a question in class the other day, and I did not agree with the answer that he gave. I understood how he was coming to that conclusion with the information that he had, but I just felt that he was not using all the information that he could in forming that opinion. I knew that I could change his mind if I showed him further proof that would substantiate my own opinion so I thought of the best way to do that. I also knew that I needed to find a survey maker since I wanted to have others’ opinions included in what I brought to him.

I first did the research I needed, which was quite easy. I then started looking for an online survey maker so I could get other people’s opinions on what I had found out. I thought that would take a while because I wanted it to be one that was easy to use but could handle the format that I wanted. That turned out to be just as easy as my research though. I found one that was easy to use, and it did not take me long to get it up and running.

I could have paid to have people take it, but I opted to do something else. I signed up for an account prior to making my own survey, and that meant that I was able to take surveys that other people had created. Because of this, I earned the right to have others take my surveys too. I enjoyed doing the different surveys on there, and I especially liked getting my own survey answered.
